Fried Cauliflower Cauliflower 1 cup white flower Beer Batter: Cut cauliflower up into pieces, 2-3 bites per piece, try to cut so there is as much flat surface as possible (frys easier in shallow oil). Dip in beer batter and fry in hot oil. Only takes a few minutes per side, when golden brown it is done. Drain on paper towel. Good hot though the "traditional" way to eat it is cold dipped in mayonnaise. Mmmmm. Thanks to Linka Newton for showing me this many years ago. I am sure this is not the exact recipe. Made for the first time in decades on April 17, 2008 using beer batter recipe from fried fish. |
